Bell tower of Greonterp

Greonterp is a mound village from the early Middle Ages. For a long time it lay completely secluded between the lakes and pools. There was only one road leading to the village. Everything else was transported by water. Later a narrow road came to Blauwhuis.

The tower is a covered belfry with a spire and was built in 1812. The clock itself dates from 1465 with an inscription: "Hear when I make sound, I call to the joy of life." You can hear the sound of the bell in the wide area.
