2. Did you know that alpacas are primarily found in Bolivia and Peru?

Approximately 3 million alpacas live in the Andes mountain range, around the city of Cuzco, as they prefer higher areas. Some smaller alpaca groups are also found in Chile and Ecuador.

3. Did you know that traditional Bolivian and Peruvian clothing is usually made of alpaca wool?

Alpaca wool is water-repellent and very warm. The locals also use alpacas as pets, for their meat and as a tourist attraction.
